An aid in irregular menstruation, for lack of appetite, and weak digestion. Diuretic and emmenagogue. Liver tonic. Chinese employ the cones of the leaves (moxas) for rheumatism, in the therapeutic method known as moxibustion. Used as a tea.

 

A culinary herb for stuffing geese, duck or other fatty fish or meat. Repels flies and moths. Leaves may be used in tobaccos. Formerly used for flavouring and the clarification of beer. Constituents: volatile oil; resin; tannin; a bitter principle, absinthin, which stimulates digestion. Part Used: dried flowering shoots, leaves, roots.
